After over 1 MILLION MILES steaming, the former Royal Yacht was paid off in 1997 and towed to Leith for restoration, before being opened to the public as a tourist attraction and conference centre.

 

After nearly 50 years service, rust was a major problem and a solution was needed to give long-term protection against rust.
